Jenkins
Updated: 04/09/2024 by Computer Hope
Jenkins is an open-source server that helps automate software development, testing, and deployment. It is written using Java and was released as Hudson on February 2, 2011. However, because of a trademark dispute with Oracle, it was renamed "Jenkins." The fork of Hudson controlled by Oracle was later discontinued in February 2017.
Today, Jenkins is the top free DevOps solution, with a large community of developers. It has plugins supporting many programming languages and millions of implementations around the world.
