Kondara Linux, officially known as "Kondara MNU/Linux," was a Japanese Linux variant released in 2000. It was based on Red Hat Linux and used RPM (Red Hat Package Manager) for package management. The name "Kondara" was a playful word from a Japanese anime television show and was chosen to express their devotion to the distribution. "MNU" was also a playful word, chosen to represent the sound a penguin makes when you touch it. Development of Kondara Linux has since been discontinued.
