Updated: 10/11/2017 by Computer Hope
mach kernel

The Mach kernel is an operating system kernel research project that was started at the Carnegie-Mellon University in 1985 and ended in October 1994.

While there's still some work being done at the university, most development and support on the Mach kernel is done by the Open Software Foundation.
