MakuluLinux is a South African Linux variant that uses the MATE desktop environment. It is focused on being an easy-to-use operating system "out of the box."
By default, MakuluLinux comes installed with many software packages which demonstrate its potential as a multimedia OS (operating system) for the desktop. These packages include popular multimedia codecs, Steam for Linux, and Wine (allowing users to seamlessly run Windows applications on their Linux desktop).
