Memo

Short for memorandum, a memo is a brief message, note, or reminder. Memos are usually stored in the form of text files or audio recordings. Many smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches are capable of storing small note files and voice memos without installing any third-party apps.

For example, Apple iPad and iPhone users can use the included Notes app to create text notes, and the Voice Memos app to record, save, and play voice memos.
