MPC-HC
The Media Player Classic Home Cinema, or MPC-HC, is a lightweight and improved version of the Media Player Classic application for the Microsoft Windows operating system. It is available for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows operating systems (minimum Windows XP with Service Pack 3).
MPC-HC allows users to play videos from multiple sources, such as VCD (video compact disc), SVCD (Super Video CD), DVD (digital versatile disc), and comes with built-in codecs for MPEG-2 videos. With support for other formats and codecs, like 3GP, AC3, MP3, and DTS (Digital Theater Sound) audio.
MPC-HC can also remove tearing in video playback, supports enhanced video rendering, and accepts additional decoders, like H.264, VC-1, and MPEG-2 with DirectX video acceleration support.
MPC-HC has not been in development since 2017 and recommends trying an alternative solution such as VLC (VideoLAN client).
