Naked URL

Alternatively known as a naked link, naked URL is a term which refers to a hyperlink that shows the full URL (uniform resource locator) rather than other text. For example, a naked link to the Computer Hope website would be https://www.computerhope.com, and a traditional hyperlink could be Computer Hope. Both links lead to the same place, but the naked link displays the full URL.

For SEO (search engine optimization) purposes, we always recommend you describe a link instead of using a naked URL. Almost all Internet searches are for keywords that describe what a user is looking for and not a URL.
