Nettop is a term coined by Intel to describe an inexpensive desktop computer, often ranging between $250 and $600. Since these computers are cheaper due to having limited parts, they are a great solution for users who only need something for Internet access and word processing.
Nettops often use some variant of Linux and use only an SSD (solid-state drive) for storage. The picture shows a Linutop, an example of a nettop computer.
