Number key
A number key may refer to any of the following:
1. A number key is any key on the keyboard with a number. On computer keyboards, there are ten number keys (1 through 0) above the top row of letters. Computer keyboards with a numeric keypad also have ten additional keys on the right side of the keyboard.
What are the symbols on the number keys?

For example, if you hold down Shift and press the number two on a U.S. keyboard, you'll get the at sign (@). Below are each of the ten numbers and their associated symbols on U.S. keyboards. Keyboards in other parts of the world have different symbols.

- 3 - # (octothorpe)
- 4 - $ (dollar sign)
- 5 - % (percent sign)
- 6 - ^ (caret)
- 7 - & (ampersand)
- 8 - * (asterisk)
- 9 - ( (open parenthesis)
- 0 - ) (close parenthesis)
What row are the number keys on?
The number keys are on the number row, which is above the top row keys and below the function key row.
What keys are on the number row?
If you go from the left side of the keyboard to the right side of the keyboard, the number row has the following keys.
- Tilde (~) and back quote (`) key
- All of the numbers keys 1 through 0 (mentioned above)
- Hyphen (-) and underscore (_) key
- Plus (+) and equal (=) key
- Backspace
