Oculus Rift
Initially released in 2016, the Oculus Rift is a VR (virtual reality) headset developed and sold by Oculus VR, a subsidiary of Meta. Unlike other products from the company, which are intended for more casual users, the Oculus Rift has a heavy focus on providing a premium gaming experience. The Oculus Rift is supported by a large library of VR applications and games, including Steam VR programs.
The Oculus Rift headset features an OLED (organic light-emitting diode) display, with a resolution of 2160 x 1200 and 90 Hz refresh rate, and includes headphones for sound and straps to keep the headset in place.
Also included are two handheld controllers, called Oculus Touch, that feature motion tracking, allowing you to control your movement and actions in the VR environment.
