Photoshop Gaussian Blur
Updated: 07/31/2022 by Computer Hope
Gaussian Blur or Photoshop Gaussian Blur uses a Gaussian distribution bell-shaped curve to determine the amount of averaging around the source pixel to create the new pixel. The Gaussian Blur creates a misty softness using the specified radius.
Gaussian Blur works on 8 Bit, 16 Bit, 32 Bit, RGB (red, green, and blue), grayscale, CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and key), and Multichannel images, and Smart Objects. This filter launches another window with options.
Gaussian Blur is part of Adobe Photoshop's Extended Filters.
