Photoshop Rough Pastels
Photoshop Rough Pastels or Rough Pastels applies a texture to the image by lightening and darkening. Additional shading is added to darker areas of the image. This filter results in a chalk pastel effect. Its parameters are stroke length, stroke detail, texture, texture scaling, texture relief, and light direction. The effect can also be inverted. Texture choices are brick, burlap, canvas, and sandstone.
Rough Pastels work on 8 Bit, RGB (red, green, and blue), grayscale, and Multichannel images, and Smart Objects. These filters are part of the Filter Gallery, and launch another window with options.
Rough Pastels are part of Adobe Photoshop's Extended Filters.
