Physical

Updated: 04/30/2020 by Computer Hope

With computer hardware, physical is a device or object that can be touched with your hand. For example, the computer motherboard is a physical device that can be touched when you open your computer case. However, once installed software is not physical and cannot be touched.

Tip

The opposite of something physical is something virtual.
