Point

A point may refer to any of the following:

1. A pt, point, or point size is the smallest unit of vertical measurement used in lettering. Approximately 72 (72.272) points are in one inch or 2.54 cm. The following are five examples of point sizes.

2. With storage, pointing refers to designating a particular path to a file or folder. For example, to add a photo to a social media account, you'd point the service to the location on your device containing the picture.

3. With a computer mouse, the point is where the mouse pointer is currently located.
