Port bar

Alternatively called a port replicator, a port bar is a hardware device that connects peripherals to a computer. These devices are commonly used with laptop computers. For example, a user may have a port bar with a network connection, modem connection, standard keyboard and mouse, and a monitor connected to it. The laptop could be used like a desktop computer, and all components could be disconnected for portability.
