PPGA

Short for Plastic Pin Grid Array, PPGA was developed by Intel in 1993 as a solution to heat-related issues for processors with more transistors than earlier models using CPGA (ceramic pin grid array). PPGA has a higher thermal resistance, better electrical performance, and improved power distribution capability. These characteristics allow for better performance of processors that are more sensitive to heat transmission.
