Preview Pane

Preview Pane may refer to any of the following:
1. In Microsoft Windows Explorer, the Preview Pane is an optional feature that shows a preview of a highlighted file. For example, with the Preview Pane enabled, if an image were highlighted, it would be displayed in the Preview Pane.
Tip
Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+P to show and hide the Preview Pane.
2. A Microsoft Outlook feature that lets users display an e-mail message and does not require each e-mail to be opened. Earlier versions of Microsoft Outlook required an additional add-on to enable this feature. However, with the introduction of Microsoft Outlook 2000, this feature came pre-installed.
