Updated: 04/26/2017 by Computer Hope
With its development beginning in 2012, ProteanOS is an operating system written from scratch, intended primarily for use in embedded systems. It is designed to take up minimal hard drive space and run on any hardware that supports Unix-like operating systems, such as Linux. ProteanOS is free and open source, so anyone can modify its source code and redistribute it, without limitations.
