PTR may refer to any of the following:
1. PTR is short for Public Test Realm, a type of test server used by Blizzard Entertainment and other companies to test changes to their video games. A PTR server allows players to try out additions or changes to games and provide feedback to the game developers about bugs or other issues they encounter.
2. PTR (pointer record) is a type of DNS (Domain Name System) record, a pointer to a canonical name. A PTR is used when implementing a reverse DNS lookup and is defined by RFC 1035.
