Release Date: 10/18/2005
Developer: id Software, Raven Software

The fourth game in the series, Quake 4 is actually a sequel to Quake 2 and takes place during the same war. Players continue the fight against the Strogg, a cyborg race, with the ultimate goal of taking out the Strogg Nexus Core, the centralized structure that controls the cyborgs. With use of multiple weapon options, players fight their way through missions and enemies, blasting them to pieces.
Players of the previous Quake games will enjoy this fourth installment in the series, including excellent graphics and gameplay.
Quake 4 has a bigger focus on the single player side of the game, but multiplayer is still available, without the ability to play against bots.
