Roll out

Roll out may refer to any of the following:
1. Roll out or rollout describes introducing a new company, product, feature, or service. For example, a company may announce a new interface for a product and say it starts being rolled out to all customers next month.
2. With data, roll out describes the transfer of data (e.g., files or programs) from the primary storage to an auxiliary storage or secondary storage. For example, moving data from RAM (random-access memory) into virtual memory on the hard drive.
3. With the IBM Series/1, the term roll out described transferring a task set out of a partition and replacing it with a task set with a higher queue priority.
