RTC may refer to any of the following:
1. Short for Real-Time Clock, RTC is an integrated circuit on a computer's motherboard that is powered by the CMOS battery. The RTC provides an accurate date and time, in addition to allowing a computer to regulate the frequency and speed of all its functions.
2. Short for real-time collaboration, RTC describes the ability for multiple people to develop and review content between each other in real time. For instance, an RTC server or service allows someone to create a document, and then have others review it and make updates at the same time. Examples of applications and services that provide RTC include Microsoft Word Online, Microsoft Excel Online, and Google Docs.
