Rush

With an RTS (real-time strategy) computer game, a rush is a strategy where one player devotes all resources toward achieving a specific goal very quickly. It aims to use the element of surprise for a strong early game but sacrifices a strong late game if the strategy fails. A classic example of a rush strategy is the 9-pool Zerg rush in StarCraft II. Zerg rush strategies are so infamous that the word "zerg" is used, even in other video games, as a synonym for "rush."
