Save link as
The Save link as option is a feature in Internet browsers that lets you save the destination of a hyperlink to your computer. To view this option, right-click any hyperlink.
Depending on your browser, the "Save link as" option may also be named Save target as or Save linked content as.
Example of how to Save link as
Below is a link to a PDF (Portable Document Format) file called "example.pdf." You can use your browser's save link as option by right-clicking and choosing the Save link as option in the menu.
After completing the actions above, a Save As window appears that lets you change the name of the file and designate where you want it saved.
Using Save link as to save a web page
The Save link as option also lets you save any web page link as an HTML (hypertext markup language) file on your computer. Please note that this only saves the single HTML file and not any of the associated files. In other words, if that page has CSS (cascading style sheets) or images, they won't be saved using this option.
To save a web page, open the page you want to save, right-click an empty portion of it, and then choose the Save page as option. This saves the HTML page and also creates a folder with all associated files.
