Shovelware

Updated: 04/26/2017 by Computer Hope

Shovelware is a derogatory term for software (or a collection of software) that is noted for its quantity, rather than its quality or usefulness. An example of shovelware is a CD-ROM (compact disc read-only memory) containing low-quality software products previously offered individually on floppy disk.
