/?

When used with an MS-DOS or Windows command line command, the /? is a command switch that gives additional help about any of the available commands.

For example, typing the following command would display a help screen with all the options available for the dir command.

dir /?

Users who're familiar with Linux or Unix can think of this switch as the same as the --help, which displays help screens for Linux and Unix commands.
