Smart speaker
A smart speaker is a speaker that functions as a standalone device, rather than playing audio from other devices. Smart speakers have built-in digital assistants controlled with voice commands via a built-in microphone. Most smart speakers can play music from streaming services, play audio via a Bluetooth connection, answer questions, report the news, solve math problems, and other tasks.
Interacting with a smart speaker
To interact with a smart speaker use the wake word (e.g., "Alexa," "Computer," "Echo," "Ok Google," "hey Cortana," and "hey Siri"), wait a second or two and then speak the command. For example, you could say "Ok Google" and wait for the Google speaker to light up, and then say "tell me a joke."
