Social audio
The term social audio or voice-based social media describes a social networking service where members interact using their voices instead of text. On these platforms, users can record themselves describing a story, recent events, or a trending topic. These platforms also allow their members to host rooms where everyone participating can talk to others or listen to others talking.
Social audio was featured as a top term of 2020.
