SRAM
Updated: 04/26/2017 by Computer Hope
Short for static random-access memory, SRAM is computer memory that requires a constant power flow to hold information. Power consumption varies widely based on how frequently the memory is accessed. Although quicker than DRAM (dynamic random-access memory), SRAM is more expensive and holds less data per unit volume. Therefore, it's commonly used in cache and video card memory only.
