Static

Static may refer to any of the following:

1. Static is another term constant. For example, many web pages are static web pages HTML (hypertext markup language) pages, which means none of the content displayed was generated by other code or a script. Static pages do not change unless the creator manually makes a change to the file and looks the same to all visitors.

2. Static is an electrical discharge, see our ESD (electrostatic discharge) page for further information about a static discharge, aka ESD, and the potential dangers it can cause to a computer or electronics.
