Stroke may refer to any of the following:

1. With a keyboard, a stroke is another way to describe a keystroke.

2. With a drawing or paint program, stroke describes the thickness of a line. For example, in Adobe Photoshop, you can use the marquee tool to create a box or other shape. Once created, right-click the shape and choose the Stroke option to get the Stroke window shown in the picture. In this picture, you can specify the width, which is the line's thickness, it's color, location, and blending options.

3. With typography, a stroke is a line or other element that creates a character, like the two strokes used in the letter "T." A stroke may be horizontal, vertical, straight, or curved.

4. With a mouse, a stroke or mouse stroke describes dragging.
