System Information

System Information may refer to any of the following:
1. With Microsoft Windows, msinfo32 or System Information is a utility that allows its users to view full information about their computer. See our Windows System Information page for full information about this utility.
2. On an Apple computer running macOS, the System Information utility allows users to see information about the computer's hardware and USB-connected devices. The macOS system information utility is similar to the Device Manager utility found in the Windows operating system.
How to open system information in macOS
- Click the Apple icon in the menu bar in the upper-left corner.
- Select the About This Mac option in the Apple menu.
- In the window that opens, click the More Info... button.
- With the General tab selected, under the About section, scroll to the bottom and click the System Report... button.
- Once open, you'll see a window similar to the following example.
- Alternatively, in macOS version 10.7 (Lion) or later, you can search for System Information in the Spotlight search box.
- In versions of macOS previous to 10.7, use the System Profiler application.
3. Computer Hope provides an online tool known as System Information, which displays basic information about your computer, browser, and installed browser plugins.
