Tabnabbing

Tabnabbing is a phishing method discovered by security researcher Aza Raskin in 2010. The exploit takes advantage of an idle tab in the victim's Internet browser. The malicious website quietly refreshes the idle background tab, redirecting the browser to a fake login page for a legitimate website. When the user clicks on the tab, returning it to the foreground, they are fooled into believing the login page is legitimate. If the user logs in, their credentials are sent to the owner of the malicious website.
