A tbyte, terabyte, or TB equals 1,099,511,627,776 (240) bytes. However, the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) defines a TB equals 1,000,000,000,000 (1012) bytes. Therefore, a TB could be equal to either of these values.
What comes before a terabyte?
A gigabyte comes before a terabyte.

A petabyte comes after a terabyte.
