How to open the Apple terminal

To open the Apple terminal, follow these steps:

  1. In the Dock at the bottom of your screen, click the Finder icon.

  1. On the left side of the screen, under the Favorites section, click the Applications selector in macOS. selector.
  2. In the list of applications, double-click the Utilities app.

3. Terminal may refer to a group of hardware devices comprising a keyboard and monitor. A terminal enables users to communicate with the internal CPU (Central Processing Unit) or another network device or computer. Its purpose is to accept input, transmit that input to another (remote) processing device, receive the output from that device, and display it. A dumb terminal has no internal "brain" (CPU) of its own.

5. HyperTerminal or Terminal was a program shipped with early versions of Microsoft Windows and other operating systems. This program enables users to connect to another computer or device using their modem or network card.
