TOC
TOC may refer to any of the following:
1. When describing a website, a TOC (Table Of Contents) is commonly known as a site map.
2. With a book, reference material, or other written work, TOC (Table Of Contents) is a list at the beginning of the work listing chapters or sections and their page numbers. The table of contents lets the reader quickly skip to the section that interests them.
The table of contents may also be called "contents."
Appendix, index, and table of contents
The table of contents is always found at the beginning of the book and contains a list of chapters and sections. The appendix and index are always found at the end of the book. The appendix has additional information relating to the contents of the book. The index is an alphabetical list of names, terms, and other words in the book with their associated page numbers. The index allows a reader to find a page containing a certain word.
