Undo send

Undo send is a feature of Gmail that lets you cancel sending an e-mail for a short time after you click the "send" button. The undo send prompt appears for a brief time immediately after you send an e-mail in Gmail. When the e-mail is sent, a menu pops up, showing Message Sent, Undo, and View Message.

If you click Undo, it cancels the sending of the e-mail, and takes you back to the message draft, allowing you to make changes or delete the message.

How to change the time you can undo send

You may choose to extend the time you have to use the undo feature. To do so, follow the steps below.

1. Log into Gmail.
2. Click the icon near the top-right corner of the Gmail page.
3. In the menu, click the See all settings button at the top.
4. For the Undo Send option, select the number of seconds you want to allow for undo in the drop-down menu. The options are 5, 10, 20, and 30 seconds.
5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.
