VCI

Short for Virtual Channel Identifier, VCI is the label designating virtual circuits on packet-switched networks. A VCI contains numerous circuits in each channel and is mostly used with ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) networks to connect users to an ISP's (Internet service providers) infrastructure.
