Founded in 1969 by Reid Anderson under the name Information Terminals Corporation, Verbatim is a leading data storage manufacturer. In the early years of the company, Verbatim manufactured floppy disks. Today, Verbatim brand products include optical media (i.e., CD-R and DVD-R), flash memory (i.e., USB flash drives and memory cards), SSDs, and standard hard drives.
In June 2019, the Verbatim brand was purchased by Taiwanese manufacturer CMC.
