Verizon
Founded on April 4, 2000, Verizon Wireless, (stylized and called Verizon) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Verizon Communications Inc. based in Basking Ridge, New Jersey. It is the largest wireless telecommunications provider in the United States providing wireless services to 90 million subscribers (2014).
Formerly it was a joint venture of American telecommunications firm Bell Atlantic, which soon became Verizon Communications, and global British telecommunications company Vodafone.
