Viewing angle

The viewing angle is the measure of degrees off from center that an LCD (liquid-crystal display) screen, like an LED (light-emitting diode) monitor or TV, can be viewed clearly. Looking a display outside the optimal viewing angle can result in a darker image, lower quality image, or even the inability to see the image at all. Early LCD displays had a small viewing angle, but vastly improved technology has allowed for much greater viewing angles; up to nearly parallel to the screen.
