VisiCalc

Visicalc software package.

VisiCalc was the first spreadsheet program developed by Dan Bricklin and programmed by Bob Frankston in 1978. It was written in the Apple BASIC language on an Apple 2 computer. VisiCalc was eventually sold to Lotus Development Corporation and was the basis for developing the Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet application in 1983.
