The Windows key+Shift+up shortcut to maximize the size of a window vertically not horizontally.
Note
For non-Windows keyboards this Windows key may be called "Super" or Command with an Apple keyboard.
How to use the Windows+Shift+up keyboard shortcut
To use this keyboard shortcut, press and hold either Windows key and Shift key, and while continuing to hold, press ↑.

While running Microsoft Windows, pressing Windows key+Shift+↑ to maximize the size of a window vertically not horizontally.
Note
To have the window open full screen maximized (vertically and horizontally), use the keyboard shortcut Windows key+↑
