Wireless charging
Updated: 06/30/2019 by Computer Hope
Wireless charging refers to any method of charging electronic devices without the need for plugging them into a power source. Popular methods of doing this are Qi, a universal system used by Apple, Samsung, Google, and other manufacturers, and inductive charging, which uses electromagnetic induction.
Today, wireless charging is available as an option for most flagship smartphones and is utilized as the main method for smartwatches. While wireless charging is usually not as fast as traditional charging via USB (universal serial bus) or other methods, it provides additional user convenience and less risk of damaging the device's charging port.
