XDCAM

XDCAM is a line of Sony digital video cameras introduced in 2003. Four XDCAM product lines are available and marketed towards professional cinematographers: XDCAM SD, XDCAM HD, XDCAM EX, and XDCAM HD422. The XDCAM digital video cameras are sold at a price range between $3,000 and $10,000.
The XDCAM can record video using several compression methods, including MPEG-2 and MPEG-4. It supports several types of recording media, including the Professional Disc, SxS (solid-state memory card), Sony Memory Stick, and SD (Secure Digital) memory card. A Professional Disc, the largest recording media used by the XDCAM, can store 23 GB to 128 GB of video, depending on the type of disc used.
