Microsoft Zune

Zune was a Microsoft brand name used describing a portable media player and its associated media distribution software. The Zune media player was released on November 14, 2006. It was capable of storing up to 30 GB of media files including .MP3 and .MP4 audio, .JPG images, and Windows Media Video (.WMV) files.

Zune products and services were discontinued in 2011. Windows Phone users continued to use Zune software to add music to their devices until 2015, at which point they were transitioned to Microsoft's Groove Music platform. The Groove Music platform was later discontinued on January 1, 2018.
