Updated: 10/11/2021 by Computer Hope
In general, absolute refers to anything complete and always true. For example, when discussing computer memory, an absolute address is an exact location in memory. When accessing stored information in memory, a computer needs an absolute address to know where information can be retrieved. If the computer was given a random address, it wouldn't retrieve the correct information.
