AirDrop
Airdrop may refer to any of the following:
1. AirDrop is a component service of Apple's macOS and iOS operating systems. It allows users to transfer files to another AirDrop-supported Apple device without using e-mail or a removable disk. On macOS, AirDrop operates over a direct Wi-Fi connection, and in iOS, it operates over either WiFi or Bluetooth.
Versions 10.7 of macOS (macOS Lion) and later support AirDrop. AirDrop-supporting iOS devices include 4th-generation iPads, the iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPhone 5 and newer.
How big of file can be transferred over AirDrop?
There's no limit to the size of file that is transferred over AirDrop, but the two devices must be within 10 meters of each other.
2. With crypto, an airdrop is an unsolicited free distribution of cryptocurrency or NFT (Non-Fungible Token) to multiple wallets. Airdrops are often done as a way of promoting a project or rewarding participants or investors.
