Cloth ribbon

Cloth ribbon is a type of printing ribbon used with impact printers. The ribbon wraps around a spooling device and moves as the user types, providing fresh ink to the striking element.
Today, cloth ribbon printers are not commonly used, having largely been replaced by inkjet and laser printers.
