How to use the Command+9 keyboard shortcut
To use this keyboard shortcut, press and hold either Command key, and while continuing to hold, press 9.
Note
For this shortcut to work, use 9 above the top row keys, not on the numeric keypad.

With all major Internet browsers (e.g., Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari), pressing Command+9 switches to the ninth tab.
